Mira Mesa High School Foundation Announces Winter Grants

After a thorough review of all of the grant requests, It is with pleasure that the Mira Mesa High School Foundation announces the following Grant Awards for Winter 2007:

1. Kim Yourczek, Water polo, $440 for the purchase of game cap set.

2. Steffanie Gaines, World Languages, $161.61 for the purchase of CD/MP3 player for classroom instruction.

3. Daniel Kriley, Drama, $599.98 for the purchase of two cordless microphones.

4. Paul Swanson, Track and Field, $500 toward the purchase of Hyteck software for electronic timing devices.

5. John Talbott, Physiology, $500 toward the purchase of heart rate monitor and other items needed for physiology. (This grant is matched by funds from an anonymous donor).

6. Patsy Minezaki, Finance Office, $500 for Active Educate program which will enable the use of debit and credit card purchases.

7. Katy Gillis, Soccer, $790 for two practice goals.

8. Zarek Pilakowski, Science, $300 toward the purchase of chemical splash standard goggles and goggle sanitizer.

9. Danny Regas, Basketball/PE, $650 for one Ergosizer machine for Fitness Circuit.

10. Robert Wuertz, Choral, orchestra, $500 toward purchase of recording equipment for ensembles.
